Purpose of the Research Stations:
For many years Antarctica has been home to many research stations, most popular being Princess Elisabeth Antarctica. But you might be asking “why?”. Well, there are quite a lot of reasons really.

antarctica has very vast landforms. IT is almost totally covered in Glacier ice. antarctica also has many mountains.

History of Antarctica:
Antarctica was discovered in january 1820, 27 by Von Bellingshausen when he spotted it by his ship. He was a Russian navy captain. The name antarctica is the version of the greek word Antarkitikì Which means the opposite of North.
